DESCRIPTION:On October 4\, 2022 from 1:00-4:00 PM\, Steve Dimengo\, Richard Fry and Nathan Fulmer with Buckingham will discuss Recent Developments and Trends in Ohio Tax Law. \nFollowing the passage of Ohio’s 2022 Budget Bill (H.B. 110)\, the evolution of economic nexus since South Dakota v. Wayfair\, and other tax changes\, Ohio taxpayers are faced with more challenges connected with business income\, personal income\, and sales and use taxes. This course will examine recent developments and trends in Ohio tax law and help taxpayers navigate compliance for Ohio commercial activity tax and Ohio sales tax. Additionally\, the course will assist taxpayers whose business extends past Ohio’s borders by addressing multistate tax issues and trends including nexus\, registration\, and resolving historical exposure. \nAttendees will receive helpful guidance on advising clients concerning:\n1. Ohio’s personal income and pass-through entity tax changes\, including newly passed SALT workaround and Business Income legislation;\n2. Ohio Commercial Activity tax compliance and audit issues including sourcing of sales and useful exemptions; and\n3. Ohio sales / use tax best practices and savings opportunities.\n4. General multi-state tax matters that parallel the above. \nThis session will be recorded and shared with those who register afterwards but note that only those participating “live” in the Zoom event will be able to take advantage of the 3.0 hours of tax CPE. \nSteve Dimengo\nSteve is an Ohio tax attorney serving as the first call his clients make when faced with a tax challenge. SUMMARY:Partner Meeting / Strategic Planning
DESCRIPTION:This meeting is designed for member firm managing partners.  We will discuss the annual member survey as well as work through our plans for the organization with a strategic planning facilitator from the Business Learning Institute. \nWe will begin Thursday\, May 17th at 8:00am at our manager’s office.  They have a large comfortable conference room for us to utilize.  We have a fun evening activity planned at Breakout Dayton\, followed by a group dinner.  Friday morning we will meet at 8:00am and will conclude about 4:45pm. \nContact Krista at our office to register.
